Urban Fire and Rescue Experts

Fresno County Fire operates 24 strategically located Fire Stations, with 40 pieces of fire apparatus. Only 2 fully-trained public safety professionals staff an Engine Company, (National Standard Requires 4 professionals). We have continued to provide the citizens of Fresno County quality fire and rescue protection since 1948.  meeting the challenge of providing this service with a continually shrinking budget.

The CDF- Local Contract Connection

Fresno County contracts with Cal Fire to provide staffing for the Fire District. Because there is no duplication of services Administrative costs are covered by the State. Also, Fresno County Firefighters respond to major catastrophes in California. Because of this Fresno County Firefighters receive first hand Experience and Training under some of the most adverse of conditions.
